CloudMicroscope Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 23, 2026

CloudMicroscope ("the app") is developed by Mikael Andersson (CloudM). This policy explains what information the app uses and why.

Camera

The app uses your phone's camera to show a live video stream. The stream is served by a small web server that runs on your phone and is reachable only from devices on the same local network (for example your Wi-Fi), while you have streaming turned on. Video is not recorded, saved, or uploaded to us or to any other server. Anyone on the same local network who knows the address shown in the app can view the stream while it is running, so only stream on networks you trust.

Information we collect

We, the developer, do not collect, store, or share any personal information. The app has no accounts and does not send your data to us.

Advertising

The app shows ads provided by Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google may collect and process information such as your device's advertising ID, IP address, approximate location derived from the IP address, device and app information, and interactions with ads. This information is handled by Google according to its own policies:

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before personalized ads are shown, using Google's consent tool. You can change your choice at any time with "Privacy settings" at the bottom of the app's main screen. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings.

Permissions

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
